World Map is a multiplayer game. It is a 6 player game, usually played in teams of 3 (tvb). You begin this game with a few building units (usually Greek Villagers) and 1 transport ship. The map resembles the world in that it has several continents (the Arctic, Europe, North and South America, and some others). There are many resources everywhere ( lots of fish, gold and wood, some animals and berry bushes. Play this game like you would any other normal game. *Note* sea power is very important, invest in ships.

Son of Osiris a fairly common character in Mythodea and Cat and Mice. He attacks with chain lightening hitting around 5 units at once, doing damage to them all. This attack is much like that of Osiris although considerably less powerful. Son of Osiris is a nonregenerating hero, this is to say that when he dies he won't come back. In a normal game however to get a Son of Osiris you must have chosen either Ra or Isis as your starting god. Then at the Mythic Age you must choose Osiris. When you have Osiris his god power can only be used on your Pharoah, once used it will transform him into Son of Osiris.

Osiris is a god. This makes him very nearly immortal, I wouldn't even try killing him. With an attack power of 5000 he can 1 hit kill all units excepting perhaps Guardians. He attacks with chain lightening, much like Son of Osiris, which travels through about 5 units doing damage to them all. He is the god of judgment he helps your camels. He is used as the final stage/level in Mythodea Ice (you get 1 of him).

The Sleeping Guardian is woken by the sword relic. When woken he will serve the one who brought him the sword. The Guardian however is verymuch awake and dangerous. He is usually placed in the cats army in the Cat and Mice mutiplayer scenario. With 20000 hit points lookout mice here he comes. To kill a guardian it is best to attack in waves of Balistas (Norse siege wepons) it may take several wave to kill a Guardian. This will only work in Cat and Mice though because you have unlimited resources.

The spearman is an army unit that can be created at the Egyptian Barracks. He attacks by stabbing opponents with his spear. In Mythodea Ice he is the best unit excepting maybe Toxotes. In Mythodea Ice I find that Archers are less effective unless you actually control the middle, whereas simple army units (like the Spearman) are more effective at getting into the middle.

Mythodea

Mythodea is a 4 player game. It is usuallly played in teams of 2. This game is played in an arena setting where a square area of the map is the arena. Victory is awarded to the person or team who destroys thier enemies wonders. Each player has a base surrounded by Trojan Walls. Units will appear inside this base in front of the wonder. At the beginning you get an old man. Use your old man to select which unit you want. To do this move your Oldman so that he stands beside one of the Mother Nature units. Once your Oldman is positionned units will begin to appear in your base in groups of 3. To advance levels and gain new units you must get, depending on the version, 10, 15 or 20 wood. To get wood you must have 10 or more units in the middle square. Players will send thier units to fight in the middle. Be sure never to send all your units to the middle because the other players will attack you.

Variations

- 6 player Mythodea. in this game the two sides of the arena face off. Two teams of 3.

- Mythodea Ice. Mythodea Ice is played on a different field. Each player starts out in the middle of one of the sides of the field. His or her wonder is at the very end of a alley guarded by watch towers on either side. To advance levels and gain new units you must get wood by going to the center. Instead of an Oldman you have Athena. *tip* the best unit at the beginning is the spearman. *tip* when you go up a level all your old units diappear. *tip* if your opponents are at heros don't hurry to get myth units because heros are super good against myth units. *tip* don't go up an age right after your ally because it will leave both of you teporaily defenseless. *one last tip* trading wood back and forth with your ally is a good idea even though you lose some when you trade.

The levels in Mythodea Ice are normal army units, heros then myth units. If the game advances past thoseit goes on to Gargarensis army, Son of Osiris army, and finally Osiris himself (these may vary).

Archers Arena

Archers arena is usually a 4 player game, usually in teams. You must be Norse for this to work. At the beginning you have some units and more archers respawn at your base. To defeat a player you must destroy his sentry tower. The more enemies you kill the more favor you get, once you have 100 favor you advance to new and/or better archers. This effect will only work if you're Norse.

- Heroes and other special units. Often in these games you are given 1 or more units that vary from the original respawning units. Ex. Axemen, Theris (hero), Gargarensis (hero), Kemyst (hero), Kamos (hero).

- The Axemen (Norse) are important to save because you can use them to repair your walls (you usually only have 50 gold though).

- Theris is a nonregenerating hero (when he dies he won't come back).

-Gargarensis comes by himself or with Kemyst and Kamos. They're all regenerating units.

Cat and mice

Cat and mice is usually a 5 player game. In a normal cat and mice (c n m) players 1-4 are the mice they start with a few building units (villagers, ulfsarks, etc.), the 5th player is the cat he/she has a massive army (often including Guardians). The cat is usually locked behind a Trojan Wall or Hades Gate. While the cat is trapped the mice flee and build up an army of their own. Once the cat has escaped he/she attempts the chase the mice through the maze and destroy them. The mice are often forced to flee to new locations and build up again. In this game there are unlimited resources.

Variations

- 6 player c n m. A 6 player c n m usually implies that there are 2 allied cats, trapped in the same or different locations. This version is often more difficult.

- Restrictions. Roc and Phoenix are sometimes restricted because the cat has a hard time defeating them.

- Cat can build. In a cat can build game it is much harder to win. His/her army must be defeated them he becomes just like another mouse in the maze.

- Omniscience is very valuable in this game. It is sometimes but not often restricted.

- If you are cat it is a good strategy to keep some units at your base and protect them, with a guardian if you have one.

- If you are mice when you can build up in 2 or more places it makes you harder to kill.

- To win cat must destroy all the mice, mice must destroy all of cat's units (excepting the Guardians or fulfill the necessary terms specified at the beginning.
